ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent

I have recently been introduced to a great mosquito repellent. A friend that's a hunter told me about it and when we tried it, it really did work very well. The first night we were out, we had to abandon the outdoors because we were being eaten alive, the next night I didn't get it out right away, but soon after I did, there was a noticeable difference. Last night again we had almost no problems. I just have to learn to start it before we start getting bitten, instead of waiting until we are being bitten to start it.

RE: Are you camping Memorial Day Weekend and where?

We will be at our campsite in Salt Springs. I can't wait to have nothing to do all day but relax (for three whole days). Yipeeeeeee!

RE: Hot water supply not hot but tank is to temp.

It's the outside shower! We had the same problem! It doesn't make any sense to me, but then I'm not a plumber or an RV technician, just an owner that didn't want to have to take the RV in for service.

RE: Dogs in Fort Wilderness?

Yes dogs are allowed. You have to request a dog friendly site. You also have to pay extra, but it's worth it to have the babies with you.

It's Coming Up!

Well the big trip is coming up and I'm getting excited. My sister and her family are coming south from PA. My husband and I are going north from Florida. And we are meeting in the middle. My parents are going to be renting a cabin at the campground. My sister-in-law is going to be joining them with her two little ones. One grandson and his parents are going to be joining us too. Another grandson, that's in the Marines and stationed not too far away may even swing by for the weekend. What a great trip this will be. We are planning menu's, outings, trips to the beach, and just FUN! Look for us at the Willow Tree RV Resort in Myrtle Beach, the second week in June. I hope everyone has a wonderful trip like this planned for this summer. We don't get enough time to spend with the one's we love, so make the most of every minute you do get.

RE: Help name our puppy.....

I have to admit I like the Amaretto or Bailey's. Both of them just sound so right.

RE: Cold Side Dish?

I make a pasta salad that just couldn't be easier. Cook spiral pasta, drain with cold water, set aside to cool. Chop onion, bell peppers (green, red, orange whatever), cut cubes of mozzarella and provolone cheese, cut cubes of pepperoni and capacolla. Toss the pasta, veges, cheese, and meat in a large bowl with Italian salad dressing. GREAT SALAD!

RE: Do RV styles affect lifestyles OR....

Hey Aramingo, I couldn't help sending a hi to you. I was born and raised in Philly, Northwood section. Went to school at Frankford. My father still lives in Fishtown. I saw the Philly post and I had to respond. If you get to the Central Florida area you'll have to look up a neighbor.

RE: Day/Night Shade Removal - How do I do it?

My neighbor had to replace almost all of the strings in the Day/Night shades on his 5th wheel. Dirty Blind Man is the web site he used and he had no problems. Good luck! I think if someone got good at this they could make a living traveling around RV parks.

RE: Why'd you buy Coke? Said my daughter . . .

HELLO!!!!! I can't live without my coke (oh and there is no way I'd drink store brands of cola, if you can't tell the difference, don't bother drinking the stuff at all, you don't deserve it). I bet you all get up every morning and actually drink coffee (YUCK). Don't begrudge me my coke. It's my only vice.

RE: Squeek in front cabnets

There is an old flooring trick, if you can identify where the squeak is coming from but can't do anything about it, you might want to try baby powder. Blow some baby powder where the squeak was coming from. The fine powder will get in between tight boards that are rubbing and sort of allow the wood to slide. No more squeak.

RE: Help, can't find small leak!

I have a buddy that had a leak coming in through a light that wasn't sealed properly. Leaks are really tough.

RE: Go...No Go...Do you let weather dictate your camping plans?

Camping on cooler rainy weekends are so relaxing. You can watch movies, stay warm inside reading, stay in bed late and not feel like you are missing out on anything. It's wonderful! I wouldn't do it in a tent! Another thought, the weather men have enough trouble forecasting yesterday's weather, you could end up with perfect weather.

RE: 4 DAYS & COUNTING,,,!

Just make sure you bring the papers for your bricks and sticks house so that you can take out a second mortgage to pay for gas. (Especially on the west coast!) Have a wonderful trip

RE: Pigeon Forge & Memphis

Caramel Corn! Gaitlinburg has the most wonderful caramel corn shop Karamelkorn Shoppe. Nobody does it better. I love to go to Pigeon Forge just for the caramel corn. It's right on Parkway, the main shopping street. There's also a pancake pantry (I think that's the name), restaurant just across the street. Really good and worth the wait and there will be a wait. The very most important thing to do is have FUN and RELAX!!!!!!!
